Design Matters Tokyo

Their mission is to spark up the conversation about the work and the role of digital designers – now and in the future - and to build a global, diverse, and inclusive community where people connect and empower each other.

In June 2023 Emmi Salonen brought the Tokyo audience on a journey of discovery through her Creative Ecosystem model.

Emmi gave a buoyantly special talk on how important it is for us to take pause from work, connect with our personal values and joy are.

In the Creative Ecosystem workshop that followed Emmi's talk, Le Thi Dieu Hoa and Emmi uncovered processes, practices and rituals that help fuel inspiration across all areas of life. The workshop used prompts, reflection, exercises and discussion within the group.

As I'm taking some steps back to reflect on all the learnings from this conference, I can't help but give a special shoutout to Emmi for her mind-blowing workshop on creativity. She truly stole the show for me! Her insights and techniques have opened up a whole new world of possibilities in my creative process.

I LOVED it. Was so nice to reflect on my life and focus on myself. Wouldn’t change a thing about the workshop. Loved your calming and authentic energy.
